Happy One Day Before Turkey Day!

Even though my parents and I had to stay home in Windsor for Thanksgiving, Im still excited for all the good nommyness!

Anyway, last weekend was my 21st bday, so Im now officially old. Im working on gathering all the pictures together from everyone, so those should be up by the end of this weekend or so. But here is an early preview:

Anyway, since I am now legally able to drink, the other night I decided to enjoy some cheap wine as I was doing an art project for one of my classes and here's what I made:

It's my interpretation of spirit and soul. A litteral representation,and Im the only one who understands it. Perhaps :) Im actually quite fond of it.

Speaking of artsy things, I saw this thing on google about a competition for microscopic photography, the entres were pretty amazing.

Anyway, Less Violent Caitlin has been on a rather philosophical journey lately.I find myself pondering a lot about now and the future. Perhaps thats why I havent been posting a lot lately, so please forgive me. Along with that I've been pushing more boundaries of my creativity. I've also found some music that goes along with my trance like creative states. Nosaj Thing is a recent discovery of mine. This guy has some amazing music videos.

This video is so lovely and beautiful and wonderful. Watching it makes me feel alright about things.


This video on the other hand makes me feel rather hungry in the most primal sense. That beat takes you on a trip, no?

Oh the Things You'll See

Happy Halloween everyone!

In honor of this festive scary day, here are some creepy old pictures I found on the internet.























I don't exactly know what Im looking at in most of those.

Anyway, I personally didn't do much for Halloween. I just kind of hung out. I went to San Francisco today to look for a dress for my birthday. It was pretty fun seeing all the people dressed up.Except for the sluts in their slutwear. I have to say my favorite was this guy dressed up like a banana with a sombrero.

So on that note, I also found an amazing dress. I feel its like a modern Audrey Hepburn dress. Its soooo pretty I can't wait to wear it. Its all velvety and sequiny and awesome. I would take a picture of it because I don't think the exposure with the velvet and the sequins would turn out good. Plus Im too lazy to try.

Also, I made some new art but Im too lazy to take pictures and upload them and they're too big for my scanner. Same goes for this cool vinyl that my friend bought for me...IT WILL HAPPEN SOON. Im just way to fokken tired tonight and I don't know why.

And OH YEAH, last week I voted (via absentee ballot) and am reminding everyone to do so on November 2nd! Its crucial! Personally I wanna see how things turn out and Im also sick of seeing ugly Meg Whitman's commercial. You know, the one where she says "Some people say that California can't be goverened. I say bologna." Shut the hell up lady.

But aside from my biased opinion, Im very tired of all the smear campaigns. You know its pretty bad when you dont know what each candidate really even stands for, just what they have to point out that is bad about their opponent.

But if you thought American smear campaigns were bad, the Canadians have it down to an art form

I Wanna Stay Just Like This

Yes, yes. Things have improved, thank god.

Also did a a huge presentation in one of my psych classes and I feel soooo relieved that its over. I feel like I can breathe a little bit now.

So a few days ago I was browsing the internets and I found some really awesome animated videos. They're by an artist named Ivan Maximov, and I find them particularly incredible. Being the kind of person I am, I always ponder how people come to express their creativity in the way they do.

This one, "СЛЕВА НАПРАВО" or in English "From Left To Right" is one of my favorites that I have found so far.


This other clip "Bolero" which I think Maximov collaborated with another artist, is also beautifully crafted. Upon the first few seconds of watching it, you might think you are watching an animation in loop. But what I find so wonderful about it are all the subtle changes that you start to notice that are small but make a big impact.


Im addicted to watching his work now. God, I live for things like this!

Also I've become re addicted to Superjail! I had forgotten about how awesome that damn perverted, sick show is. WHEN IS SEASON TWO GONNA HAPPEN???

You have to watch the whole thing to really...I guess 'get it', PLease do, because if you just watch like the first 60 seconds of it, you'll think I have a problem.

Also is it weird that I find this video strangely touching? Just two slabs of meat, having meat love, dancing like meat and then humping eachothers meat. Its a beautiful life you know.


I think I'm going to become a vegetarian.

Ah, Life

So I've neglected you all terribly.

But honestly its been from a combination of things such as way too much work and what not, Ive hardly had any time to breathe. Also I've been really moody and reclusive...which I guess isn't anything new but I could technically use it as an excuse. I dunno. I dont even think Dr. Phil would know.



But in better news, we finally got internetz here at my apartamento so this will make the blogging more convinient! Yay! Plus I'll get to waste more of my life away on the computer. Double yay!

So what have I been up to? Uhh well mostly just being crabby about all the shit I have to take care of. So here's a list of what I've been doing:

1. Laughing like an idiot at videos like this (thanks to the boyfriend for this gem). And its not that it makes me an idiot to find this funny because I think it is, but its just I could replay that shit over and over again. Oh Caitlin.

I guess I need to put a banging donk on it.

2. Learning a ton about this guy

Oh come on, you know who that is! Its Rollo May! *coughpsychologynerdismecough*

3. Eating a lot of noodles and with my hair being its longest in quite a while I've realized that I need to get me one of these

Nothing ruins the experience of eating really good spaghetti like a mouthfull of your own hair.

4. Thinking about how cool owls are and being angry that I still havent seen that damn owl movie.






I'd like to think I look like ponderous owl when Im pondering.

5. Listening to really chill music

What? Are you getting mad because none of those are actual music videos? Well suck it, this is my blog.

Oh by the way, the King Night album by Salem is sooo good, I almost cried the first time I heard the whole album through. Oh fine, heres a real music video. If watching this makes you feel kind of grimy and uncomfortable, you aren't alone.

Oh yeah and I have work in like 2 hours. So not in the mood to be a copy cat today. Especially after being scolded last week after leaving early and supposedly leaving an unfinished job even though I left explicit instructions on what to do. Whatever, thats all I have to say about that otherwise I'll go on for another 3 paragraphs.
